Dr. Kate Player graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. She left traditional practice in 2014 and became a relief vet, working with a multitude of full service veterinary clinics and high quality/high volume spay/neuter clinics. Dr. Player started her first practice, Player Veterinary Services, in 2017 and grew it into a successful relief, mobile, and spay/neuter practice. She has performed roughly 40,000 surgeries at this point in her career. Dr. Player is a third generation Oswego resident, so it was a natural step to start her first bricks and mortar veterinary practice here in Oswego. She grew up watching her mentor, Howard Koch DVM, own River Heights, her grandfather, E.W. Lowry, M.D., own his human medical practice and most influentially, her father, J.S. Player, M.D., own his human practice as an Orthopaedic Surgeon. These influential people and experiences led her to open Bristol Veterinary Clinic to continue the family tradition of medically serving the community!
